A confident website for a compliance-tech start-up
The site as the first proof of credibility
Provenant is a compliance-tech start-up building digital product passports, the digital records that let retailers meet incoming EU regulations on what a product is made of and where it came from. For a company creating a new category, the website is not decoration. It is the shop window, the place a prospect decides whether Provenant is credible enough to trust with a compliance obligation.
Compliance software has a look, and it is a dull one. Provenant wanted the opposite: a site that felt modern, positive and confident, and that made a dry, regulated subject feel like an opportunity rather than a chore.
Choosing Salo Creative as our specialist brand and design partner for our new company Provenant was a fantastic decision. It's rare to find an agency that can fully understand a client's vision and translate it into something meaningful, but Salo did exactly that. I can't thank Carl, Toby and team enough for developing an authentic brand that we've scaled across both digital and print. I would highly recommend Salo Creative to any company that has similar requirements, and I look forward to working with them on future projects.
A component system built to grow with the product
We designed the site page by page and built a flexible component system the Provenant team could grow into as the product and its story developed. The same building blocks flex from a punchy homepage banner to deeper product pages, so the site can expand without a redesign each time Provenant adds a feature or a market. The wider identity work is covered in the separate Provenant branding case study; here the focus is the site.
The design covered the full set a category-defining company needs: platform and product pages that explain the technology in plain terms, industry template pages that adapt to each sector Provenant sells into, use-case pages, a webinar landing page built to convert, and a careers page for a growing team. We shaped these in close design sessions with the Provenant team, refining each page against how a real prospect would move through it. Development sat with the build partner; our work was the design.
Signed off, launched, and already moving into phase two
Provenant launched with a website that reads as modern and confident rather than the usual compliance-software look, giving the founders a credible shop window as they take a new product into a regulated market. The design was signed off and the work moved into a second phase, so the relationship continues beyond the initial build.
