Modernising a group of sites for a marine services provider
Sub-brands that had to feel related, not identical
Solent Rib Charter came to Salo with a group of water-based businesses across the UK and Europe, and a set of sub-brand sites that needed a refresh without losing a consistent look and feel.
Each sub-brand had its own requirements, so the real problem was designing page sections versatile enough to adapt to very different content.
Modular components, styled per brand
We broke the key pages into modular components and built a shared design system from them. With each brand’s styling applied, the experience stayed recognisable and consistent across the group.
Throughout, we were careful that the components did not restrict layouts or make the sites feel repetitive, so we designed a range of customisable features to keep each section feeling distinct.
Around 30 sections, five sites, built far faster
The library of around 30 sections let us efficiently create key page templates across five sites. That modular approach carried through to the build, giving the platforms room to scale alongside rapid growth.
Distinct pages now take far less time to deliver, and the sites are more responsive and perform better across devices.
Working with the team at Salo has been a real pleasure. They delivered a visually stunning website design that not only perfectly captured the brief, but also paid careful consideration to user experience and performance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Salo and look forward to working together on future projects!
